According to the INTERREG-Project ConNat (Connecting Nature AT-CZ) the Energie- und Umweltagentur NÖ is organizing a Cross-border exchange for management and conservation of protected areas.

At the programm there are a excursion about nature forestry in the forest of Altenburg Abbey and a excursion about forest reconstruction after spruce failure in the area around Horn.

In the afternoon there are planned presentations about silviculture close to nature, examples of forest operations focused on the protection of specially protected species, experience with natural forest development, aspects for climate protection and natural disturbance in lowland forests.
